⊱Backstory: Donovan wasn't always the crime obsessed detective he is now. After finding out marriage wasn't as blissful as it was often made out to be, he escaped into his work and unfortunately missed such a portion of his daughter's early years that the little one didn't even recognize him as her father when she got old enough to talk and walk. The harder the marriage got, the harder Don worked and finally the day came where his wife left him and took almost everything in the process.
As always, Don eventually ran away when his old city (Portland) became nothing but a reminder of his marriage and failings. Now he's transferring to Blackwell in search of something new, having heard it's a crime central shithole he figures it's a place he could bury himself in an endless slew of hard work and life threatening action.
